Pen Settings

Right click on selected items which include edges, and click "Set Pen and Color" to assign pen settings to edges.

Settings made to groups will apply to the entire group. Settings to component instances will only apply to that instance. If you want to define settings for all instances, use "edit component" and make the changes to the component definition.

Pen Color

Click the color box and define the color for the pen. The default is black.

Do not set or change - if the selection already contains more than one pen color, this box will be checked. (This is unchecked automatically if you change the pen color.)

Pen Width

Define the width for the pen in inches or millimeters. The default is 0, which means make the pen 1 pixel or 1 printer unit wide.

Do not set or change - if the selection already contains more than one pen width, this box will be checked. (This is unchecked automatically if you change the pen width.)

Page Size

Select one of the standard page sizes or enter a custom size.

This will be the size of the page in the PDF document. It is not unnecessarily one of the sizes avaialble on printers attached to your machine. (For example, you can create a PDF and then send it to a service bureau for plotting.)

Margins

Printers cannot usually plot to the full size of the page, so there margins assure that the model data is inside the printable area.

Orientation

In Landscape mode, the larger of the two page sizes (e.g. 11 from 8 1/2 x 11) will run horizontally across the page.

In Portrait mode, the smaller of the two page sizes (e.g. 8 1/2 from 8 1/2 x 11) will run vertically up the page.

Scale

Specify a size on paper and the corresponding size in SketchUp.

The first measurement, labeled In the printout, is the measurement in the PDF file, on on the printed page. The second measurement, labeled In SketchUp, is the actual measurement of the object in real scale. For example, for a scale of 1/4" = 1', simply enter 1 inch In the Printout equals 4 feet In SketchUp.
